A Steamder is a room where you invite other players (or they join by themselves). Your multiplayer games are pooled together, and once the game starts, all games are presented to you.
It's up to you to like or dislike the various games that come up. The first game liked by all players will be selected for everyone, ending the debate once and for all! Debate settled!
